Indirock is a bouldering wall and coffee shop inside The Victoria Centre on Southend-on-Sea high street, Essex.

Indirock is celebrating it’s 2nd birthday this year, and on Saturday 2nd March we are celebrating by hosting the final of IndiBlock Stars, a climbing competition bringing the community together.

IndiBlock Stars caters to climbers of all skill levels, focusing on fostering enjoyment among Indirock regulars while allowing them to track their progress. After 3 months of qualification rounds, we have announced the finalists: 6 men and 6 women who will compete on the Saturday, starting at 4pm.

March also marks the 2-year anniversary since Indirock opened its doors. Our community has grown over the 24 months, and we have seen people fall in love with bouldering and choose Indirock as their bouldering home. 

As well as bringing the fun and enjoyment of bouldering to Southend, Indirock has two other goals. To be part of the revival of Southend City Centre, and to support vulnerable young people from the local area into work.  The team have worked hard to fulfil the above and continue to do so. 

To mark the occasion, you can cheer on friends and local climbers AND celebrate their two years in business. 

Plus, we are extending the opening hours so after the final, you can stick around to tackle the routes yourself! It’s your chance to experience the excitement firsthand and test your skills on the same routes as the competitors.

Tickets for the final are £5 pp and this grants you access to the thrilling show of IndiBlock Stars Finals and also includes a buffet of delicious food for everyone to share at the end, in the Indirock coffeeshop!
