We’ve been busy reimagining our training offer at Indirock
Over the past few months, we’ve gathered feedback through surveys and free coaching trials, listening closely to what our community wants and needs. The result? A refreshed coaching programme designed to support every climber’s journey.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped shape what comes next.

What’s changing with NICAS?
We’ve invested in upskilling our coaching team across the NICAS syllabus and Wild Climbers programme, bringing fresh ideas and energy into every session. Here’s what you can expect:
- Greater focus on progression through NICAS logbooks
- Clear, personalised goals for each child, with stickers and certificates to celebrate milestones
- More variety in teaching methods and activities
- New props and tools to enhance sessions
We’ve also restructured our sessions to better meet demand. Wednesday NICAS sessions will now be split into two age groups (6–9 and 10–12), replacing the previous combined session for ages 6–12. This allows for more tailored coaching and a better experience for everyone.
Raising the game for our Youth Squad
With a growing team of passionate young climbers, we’re excited to expand our Youth Squad offering. We’re adding a second weekly session—at no extra cost—to give squad members more time to train, develop, and climb together.
We’re also introducing a new competition calendar to give the squad shared goals to work towards. This kicks off with Coast to City, our brand-new adult and youth climbing competition in collaboration with City Bouldering Stratford.
Taking place in June, Coast to City will be one of the few amateur bouldering competitions to include a youth finals—and we can’t wait to see our squads in action.
And finally… our adult coaching offer
Towards the end of 2025, we explored personalised 1:1 training plans for adult climbers. After trialling this with a small group, we discovered something important: consistent, regular coaching is the key to real progress – but 1:1 sessions alone can quickly become unaffordable.
So we took a different approach.
Introducing the Adult Coaching Membership.
Designed to mirror our successful Child Coaching Membership, this new offering gives adult climbers access to structured, ongoing support—without the high cost of private coaching.
What’s included?
- One weekly group coaching session tailored to your level
- Free access to weekly gym training sessions with our resident PT, Scott
- Unlimited climbing
- Discounts in our shop and café
- Perks with local partner businesses
We’ll be sharing more details on each of these new offers over the coming weeks – so stay tuned.
We can’t wait to see your progress!
