We’ve got some exciting news — our team is growing! If you’ve ever dreamed of being part of Southend’s very own bouldering wall and café (and honestly, who wouldn’t?), now’s your chance.
We’re on the lookout for two brilliant people to join our crew. Read on for more info:
🧗♀️ Climbing Instructor & Duty Manager
We’re after someone who lives and breathes climbing — and loves helping others get hooked on it too. As our new Climbing Instructor & Duty Manager, you’ll be leading instructed sessions for adults and kids, coaching climbers to smash their goals, running parties and school groups, and keeping the centre buzzing while you’re on shift.
You’ll also play a big part in making sure Indirock stays a fun, safe, and welcoming space for everyone — from first-timers to regular crushers.
You’ll need:
✔️ At least a year’s experience as a bouldering wall instructor
✔️ Some management experience
✔️ A friendly face, a calm head, and a genuine passion for sharing the joy of climbing

🧾 Climbing Centre Administrator
We’re also looking for a super-organised Administrator to keep our little wall running smoothly behind the scenes. This one’s a hybrid role (part on-site, part remote) for around 10 hours a week — perfect if you love structure, spreadsheets, and good coffee in equal measure.
You’ll be working closely with our CEO, Centre Manager, and Creative & Content Manager — handling everything from emails and bookings to newsletters, stock checks, and even helping with our impact reporting.
You’ll need:
✔️ At least a year’s admin experience
✔️ A knack for multitasking and keeping things running like clockwork
✔️ The ability to work both from home and from Indirock in Southend
