It’s the end of an era at Indirock: our much-loved Centre Manager, Johnny, will be moving on in March next year. Johnny has been a huge part of shaping the community we’re so proud of, and we will miss him! Our Founder & CEO, Emily said:
“Johnny has been my right hand man from day one, and there have been times when we literally wouldn’t have been able to keep the doors open without him. Johnny brought much needed experience in health and safety and the sports industry, alongside a mega dose of creativity and vision for business growth. He is the hardest-working person I’ve ever met, and I couldn’t put into words how grateful we are for everything Johnny has done for us over the past nearly four years!”

Indirock is a community-driven, non-profit climbing wall based in sunny Southend-on-Sea – just 50 minutes by train from central London. We’re a growing independent wall with a mission: to make climbing accessible, welcoming, and genuinely community-led. You can read more about our community work and impact to date here.
Our Centre Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations, safety and standards, continuing to build Indirock’s friendly and welcoming community. We’re looking for somebody with experience in the climbing and/or leisure industry, with an interest in building teams and a community. They will work closely with our Founder CEO to make Indirock a success, within a budget set by the Board.
